The Beta Complex
Story: despite using the same fizzlers as 'The Electric Castle', this map follows the main Portal story; After TestChamber 17, the testing subject has been taken to an alternate facility to test her "Ability to maintain composure and adapt to new situations in an extremley hazardous enviroment."
- Has been a very long term project, started in June '08, and has been expanding ever since.
- Has had not had continous Development time; a few months have been taken off.
- Has between 7-14 puzzles, in 6-12 chambers Depending on how you count.
- Was created in response to very positive comments on the tEC fizzler mechanics.
- Comes packaged with a Tutorial so you don't need to play the original Electric Castle to understand.
- Has a difficulty slightly higher than most of the Portal Advanced chambers.
- Has had a lot of effort placed on aesthetics, particually metal textures that are often very bland
- Has several secrets - Good luck finding them!

Hints - WARNING: SPOILERS ABOUND!
- Chamber 1: Main chamber. Look at a) how to gain momentum, and b) what the buttons do.
- Chamber 2: The signinge indicators are your best friend, think about how to manipulate what appears to be stopping you, to how it could in fact help you.
- Chamber 3: Opening this door represents no challenge
- Chamber 4: Remember the rules regarding this type of fizzler, and think how you solved the first tutorial level.
- Chamber 5: Look around the area.
- Chamber 6: Think about different ways of knocking over or disabling turrets.
- Chamber 7: Left & Right - these two areas are interlinked, you may need something from one area to help you solve the final section.
